Alicia and Dinner Houdini
As I have mentioned my sister has the gift of observation. She sees things that most people would otherwise overlook she also articulates her observations in the most comical and sensical ways. I believe that there is a little office in the annals of Alicia's mind that is staffed by little purple oompa-loompa-like Alicia's who have blue hair, big butts, and orange overalls. They all sound like Alicia but in a higher octave of her voice sort of like if she were to suck the helium out of a balloon. They have short legs short arms and perpetual smiles on their faces. The name of this office is "The Archives of Alicia's Arbitrary Ascertainment's" or "Quadruple A" for short. The sole purpose of this office is the management of these seemingly superfluous observations, they handle the reception, delivery, archiving, preservation, alphabetizing, and N.O.O. (which is New Observation Obtaining). the office runs like a well oiled machine. All observations go through a rigorous screening process based on the seven levels of comedic substantiality. After this process they are manifested at random times through out Alicia's life. One of my personal favorites occurs somewhat frequently, there is a scene in the 1999 film The Wood where the character Slim gets unwanted attention from a female character about an upcoming school dance. He winces at what the female character and says "Uggh leave Tina at home!" that is her single favorite part of that movie and she reenacts it over and over till she laughs herself to pieces. I watched that part of the movie and it has become my favorite part. Last night the "Quadruple A" brought another moment to the surface. A few weeks ago Alicia aptly named a member of our family (who shall remain unnamed) The Dinner Houdini for their astonishing ability to create the aromatic experience of a ten course meal through out our entire neighborhood, through the use of two bags of ramen noodles and an egg. (which produces a self serving of noodles) Dinner Houdini was mentioned last night when Alicia was washing a pot that had one of Dinner Houdini's most recent magic tricks. She said this "Dang this egg is stuck on the pot.... Dinner Houdini needs to be Dishes Houdini!" I proceeded to laugh until I could no longer stand. Thank you Quadruple A!

Alicia and "Old Man Roy"
My sister Alicia is one of my favorite people in the world. She is 5 years older than me. Our relationship can't be defined with mere english adjectives that speak towards enhancing emotional connections. My biggest fear as a child was not the dark, nor was it heights or rollercoasters, my biggest fear was disappointing my sister, Alicia. I have come to understand that we all have specific needs when it comes to love. Every person on this planet has to feel love in the way that makes the most sense to them. For me I express and experience love through touch and verbal communication, I love hugs and kisses I love saying I love you and I use the words sweety, darlin', and beautiful entirely too much. My big sister Alicia is not like me when it comes to love. Alicia doesn't like hugs or ridiculous pet names that express endearment, nor does she initiate conversation without purpose. She has taught me how to observe. I loved to watch Alica as a kid and even now I find myself floating around her where ever she goes. Alicia is one of the most genuine people I know she does thing for Alicia's sake, "coolness" & "trendiness" do not motivate Alicia's actions, she acts on "Alicianess". The best way that I can describe this quality is found when she listens to the radio. When Alicia pulls up in her car she could be listening to the most off the wall exclusive never before heard "non- mainstream" band from sweden and know all the lyrics. Or she could be listening to the latest pop- rap song that eeeveryone knows by someone who calls himself young dro and know all the lyrics. She will sing the song and not skip a beat, and she has no apologies, explanations, or justifications for which song is playing and if there were a "reason" why she was listening to either song she'd say "..because I like it" nothing more nothing less. Alicia tells stories because she observes everything that happens in her life from the perspective of a spectator who is striving to understand the significance behind why stuff happens the way that it happens. Alicia can articulate herself superbly she tells me stories, and I feel that it is my duty to tell them. These stories include and are not limited to, dreams, her daily interactions with other humanoids, commercials on tv, and ways to make a million dollars.
Alicia was a project team leader for one her jobs and she was responsible for collecting information from a diverse team of "adults" (it is appropriate at this point to state that Alicia experiences an outlandish number of awkward moment as compared to the average person). During the time when she was working this job she had arranged a meet with one of her team members at McDonalds. Alicia rode her bicycle to the McDonalds and proceeded to sit outside and wait for "Old Man Roy" (whom she aptly named) as she was waiting outside Roy began knocking on the window from the inside. He was signaling to her that she should come inside, she responded back with signals specifying that she had her bike and it would be easier to meet quickly outside. All of a sudden "Old Man Roy" became irate, not only did he proceed to bang on the window and continue his makeshift sign language, but he began to shout inside of McDonalds, my sister Alicia stood staring at "Old Man Roy" from outside the McDonalds like a child baffled and confused at an aquarium as a dolphin aggressively bites on the wetsuit of its trainer. immediately after this explosion "Old Man Roy" stormed to his car and left without fulfilling his work responsibilities. Alicia was left baffled and confused. That occurred about two months ago, today she sent me a text that read 'i am sitting across from the lil kid version of old man Roy, he wont be still so i cant take a pic' I smiled and I thought to myself I need to look at my life as if I were walking through an aquarium like my big sister.
